ArtScape2 has received word from our conservator, Victor Rose, that all of the 14 sculptures have been cleaned as of October 8, 2019.

This includes the 13 in the downtown area and 3 at Depot Park on North Main. The sculpture pictured is always one of the last to be cleaned because it takes a ladder.

It’s donors, Dr. Siwek and family, wanted very much for the eagle (entitled “Daybreak”)  to appear soaring into the sky.  A very grateful “thanks” to all those who donated and made this annual need possible.

Victor says that in Kansas, one-half of the wax is gone in 6 months and almost all of it in one year.

Check out how beautiful the sculptures look by taking a stroll down Main St.
