Downtown Street Sounds Project
This project is a collaboration between El Dorado Main Street and the El Dorado Chamber of Commerce.
Description:
Purchase, install and manage an outdoor wireless audio system to provide professional quality audio for the El Dorado Main Street District. The Streetscape Design Committee has selected Streetsounds, a well-designed, fully vetted audio system using “state-of-the-art” proven technology with streaming licensed music.S
Purpose:
Over the course of 25+ years, El Dorado Main Street, Inc in partnership with the City of El Dorado, has been working to create a successful inviting environment for retail, economic, and artistic growth attracting highly skilled entrepreneurs and workers from all sectors for whom quality of life is a priority.. The Downtown Street Sounds Project is the 5th (fifth) stage of this ongoing effort.
Goal:
The goal is to provide an additional dimension to the welcoming environment of the Downtown experience by using state-of-the-art technology.
Measurable 3 Yr Goals:
- An increase in the number of new retail businesses in the Downtown District
- Increase in retail customers(foot traffic) in the Downtown District
- Increase in annual sales tax revenue
- Positive responses to an annual retail merchant Downtown Streetscape Elements survey
Speed Trap Distillery
El Dorado Main Street helped to facilitate the acquisition of the Quality Bins building on South Main street to Joel Fox for a new business called “Speed Trap Distillery”.
City of El Dorado Transportation Study
The City of El Dorado is currently developing a comprehensive Transportation Plan and they are asking for your opinion!
